This is the practical gap. A developer or analyst working in long unbroken sessions can run into the Claude session window, while the ChatGPT Premium seat removes that rolling limit. Claude’s weekly cap and ChatGPT’s overall usage allowance still apply, so neither seat is unlimited.
Models and Context
- Claude Team Premium provides the full Anthropic model stack (Fable, Opus, Sonnet, Haiku) plus Claude Code. Context window is up to 1M tokens (varies by model).
- ChatGPT Business Premium provides GPT-6 and GPT-6 Pro, plus Codex access. Context window is 54K tokens (GPT Instant) or 256K (GPT Reasoning).
Claude’s larger context ceiling than ChatGPT Business is a model-side differentiator for document-heavy and multi-file code work.
